RECREATIONAL CLASSES &
COMPETITIVE TEAM PROGRAMMING

Our recreational gymnastics program serves participants from 18 months of age through the first three levels of the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic program. USA Gymnastics is the governing body for the sport of gymnastics in the United States. The program is designed for both introductory/recreational and competitive gymnastics which means your child can come simply for the fun and benefits of gymnastics or work harder and possibly be invited to our competitive team.

Our classes range from Parent & Tot classes, in which parents participate with their 18-36 month old child, to Gymnastics 4.0 level classes which consist of USA Gymnastics Level 1, 2, and 3 skills. We also have Tumbling classes for those interested in floor exercise only, Core Strength and Balance classes for boys, and regularly occurring Back-Handspring Clinics and Open Gym. INTRO TO GYMNASTICS AGES 5-7

This is a beginner level class. In this class children will develop strength, flexibility, proper form and body positions, and the foundational skills needed to progress to higher gymnastics levels. The girls will gain confidence in their abilities and develop positive self-esteem in a fun, safe environment.

GYMNASTICS 2.0

Gymnastics 2.0 is an advanced beginner level class that incorporates appropriate conditioning and flexibility exercises along with instruction on the four apparatuses. As the gymnast practices drills for each element, they will develop the strength and skill needed to complete the entire routine for an apparatus.

Gymnastics 3.0 is an intermediate level class includes appropriate conditioning and flexibility exercises but requires more skill than the 2.0 class.

Gymnastics 4.0 is our highest level of recreational gymnastics instruction. Proficiency in 3.0 classes is expected if a gymnast is to participate safely and successfully in this class.

TUMBLING 2.0

Tumbling 2.0 is for advanced beginners who have already mastered the skills taught in Intro to Tumbling.

Students enrolling in Tumbling 3.0 must have a required minimum skill set including a back-handspring on the trampoline without a spot.

BOYS CORE STRENGTH & BALANCE

Core Strength and Balance is a beginner-intermediate class for boys ages 5 +. Along with the fitness and health benefits that correspond with physical exercise, our boys’ classes are designed to build core strength, balance, flexibility, and coordination.

PRE-TEAM AGES 4-5

Pre-Team is an invitation only class and meets twice a week for a total of 4 hours. It is for girls ages 4 to 5 years old who show the potential to benefit from more intensive training. The expectations for skill development are higher in this group.
